You know what is said of history. In addition to this which you post, there are countless events that have and will continue to happen as long as we continue to deprive our youth of real history, and heaven forbid, discipline.

I've never understood why MacArthur has been touted as such a hero. Seems his whole career was made up of arrogance and not following orders yet he seemed to rise to the top like a steaming turd.

A WWII vet told me years ago that he hated MacArthur. The vet said he needlessly killed a lot of good boys in the war, and was a coward.

His whole career was wrought with stuff like this but he somehow kept getting promoted. Somehow he had the presses eye I guess because they loved him for some reason.
