Cough

One of my cows has a slight cough. Nothing bad it is like she is clearing her throat once in a while. The others have no cough at all. Should I give her something, call a vet or just keep an eye on her? They have only been vaccinated for pink eye. They are four and three years old.

>Well, Im not an expert like some of the others on this board, but alot of our cows cough every now and then. Its like theyve got grass in their throats or something, Im not sure. But Ive heard alot of other peoples cough too. If it is something to be concerned about, you could give her a shot of LA 200, and see if that helps.

Could be dusty forage, warbles migrating, some other variable, or just what I refer to as the seasonal snots. Don't start giving antibiotics just for the hell of it. If she has a temp that's one thing, but to just start blasting anitobitcs as a general course of action is a waste of money, time, and can contribute to eventual antibotic immunity.
