In a previous post, some folks said the whole corn I see in the manure is just a shell - all the nutrients are digested out. I picked through some poop the other day and the shelled corn in that poop is shelled corn. It ain't no shell. What gives? Was that ya'll just seeing if you could get me to pick through some poop?

If the outer shell of a grain of corn is broken they can get the nutrients from the grain. This is why we say there will always be around 15% pass through (not digested).
