Controlling buttercup in pastures

Ground has been too wet to attempt to spray. Yesterday was a good drying day and looks like today will be. If the rental sprayer is available tomorrow I thought about trying it, but a chance of rain tomorrow night. How long does 2, 4D need to dry before it rains on it?
