Considering AI.

So class was Monday-Thurs this week. Honestly I don't think I get into enough cows to get proficient at it. Both Ai and Preg checking are pretty practice intense. However the class was worth every bit and then some. They fed up breakfast and lunch everyday. We got into 20-50cows each depending how long you wanted to stay. He was willing to stay hours past school if ppl wanted to practice. Covered ultrasound. Last day he went as far as to show how to do epiderals, prolapse repair, main lining cows, etc. any questions he was awesome to not make you feel stupid but genuinely wants to teach ppl. He understands how hard getting a vet out is. Talking to 3 fresh out of school vets, we got into 3x more cows than any of them did in 4days vs the vets through college. To anyone looking for an Ai school, this is one to consider.

In short, so glad I went. However I'll set mine up every year and hire someone to come here or haul them to Tony there. Such an awesome place that I'm glad to call friends now

Sounds like a great experience and got you on track with future plans. That's worth a lot right there imo. Did you get yours bred?
Yes I did. Hopefully have 5+ Mushrush Red Angus calves next Feb/March. We did 8 but expectations….
I showed up with them at 8am as instructed because he had embryo transplant to do at 8:30. Originally the plan was to Ai them in afternoon when rest of the class was practicing Ai. I told him most were standing heat at 7pm the night before. He insisted we Ai right away, he said the embryo would wait a few minutes, mine were the perfect time now. 1 didn't come in heat so she waited until afternoon. He was so much faster than me though he was done before 8:30. I worked on 2 of them and got close but he finished them. He went that extra mile even though he never had to. The entire family and crew there are just top notch. It was awesome just to experience such a setup. Really ppl that renew your faith in ppl and the industry.
