I planted my 'maters about the first of april. ther were about 6 inches at the time. They haven't grown much as we've had some cooler weather, so there only about 12 inches now. I noticed monday evening while I was driving posts next to them that a couple of them had 1 or 2 blooms on them. What's up with that? The plants are way to small to be mature, and the weather has been too cool for them to be blooming this early. I think they are majorly confused. Anyone else seeing similar things this spring?

I realize that we are having an early spring since we were so dry early. You can tell this by the way the fescue headed out early. The thing is though, that I watered the garden so it has never been dry.

I bet those blooms fall off. I planted mine in early April and some are huge and have fruit while others are half the size. Same type, same row, same soil. Go fig.
