I just love calf watching......

This guy was just laying there, happy as could be

When this guy came along and whispered in his ear

But, he was quite comfy where he was and didn't want to get up

The red guy had heard a little tale about persistence

Something about persistence paying off??

Leave me alone, says the RWF calf

But in the end Persistence DID pay off

And of course like usual, once we get what we want, we no longer want it....

What all do you use for the cow to play with?I have 2 heifers about 5 moths old, and they seem to want to have something to play with. The other day one got a hold of a small piece of cardboard, and had a great time throwing it around and picking it up. What do you suggest to use for toys? Should I purchase a horse ball that I saw at the feed store?? Any other ideas would be welcome!!!!!!

Last time we fed out a steer, I gave him a Jolly Ball to play with. He loved it! Except I'd have to retrieve it from the alfalfa field all the time.
