Collecting semen

Help Support CattleToday:

I don't know about that exact term, but there is a pretty complex process in collecting extending, checking and finally filling straws and freezing. Some semen just doesn't have the strentgh to under go the freezing and thawing process and stay viable. Some doesn't have the motility in the first place or the volume of good sperm per unit of ejaculate. Doesn't help, but maybe explains a little
