[QUOTE="gcreekrch, post: 1725743, member: 14161"] My wife and I were down with Covid for the better of three weeks. I avoided the ten day hospital stay she has and we are returning to our old selves slowly. Our South African couple that arrived in July did a wonderful job of keeping cattle fed and things running as smoothly as possible while we were away and returned to recuperate. I hadn’t seen our cow herd since Dec. 15 until last Friday when I went to help feed at the lower places. These are the mature cows coming 5 years and older. They have been getting lick tubs and the late cut, old bottom swamp grass haylage we made in Sept. The temperatures here were as low as -47 celcius and stayed below -20 for about 3 weeks. Quite a shock for a couple who had never seen below -4 in their lives! We are so proud of Josh and Meg!
