The wife knows how to cook a roast. This would have been home grown except for the taters, onions and assorted seasoning.

It was tremendous.
 
Looks like we could have cooked it. A roast in a roasting pan, cut up carrots tators and onions. Add some salt and pepper, and some seasoning, usually a package of stew mix, add half of cup of water and bake in oven at 250 or so for 6 hrs (crock pot works great)...... tender and good. Our weather just broke into fall and it's cold.... time to cook up a roast..... looks great.

WW that is definitley the way to cook a chuck/blade roast or a rump for that matter.

Cold today here too, we are going into the deep freeze later this week big time. Time to make some hearty roasts and soups..
