Can anyone share experience using chicken manure on pastures. I have been told can cause coccidia. Hope I spelled that correct. 8)

coccidia are species specific, so cattle cannot get coccidia from chicken litter
So you are saying the coccidiosis that chicken's get is different from what cattle get?

I know several ranchers who actually feed chicken litter, from 'broilers', not layers. They vaccinate for Botulism and Tetanus due to the possibility of dead chickens buried in the litter, and have no health problems in their herds over a +-20 year period.[I am not advocating the use of litter as a stock feed, just noting a point of interest.]

The hurrier I am, the behinder I get!
