Anyone feel it is harmful on a calf to change brands of milk replacer once they have been started on another?

May have found a source about $10 a 25# bag cheaper.

Make sure the main ingredients are the same, or you risk scours. With that much difference in price, you may be going from a milk product based replacer to soy, which you don't want to do.

Have not got to see the tag yet, but it is made by Milk Specialty.

If you change from one all milk to another will it cause problems?

I don't want any of the soy stuff.

If you change the milk to quickly it can cause some nasty scours and some cases a gassy bloat. What you might want to try if you are going to switch the milk slowly wean them onto the new milk. Add some of the new milk with the old milk then slow get them onto the new milk all together. Its better then having dehydration and diarrhea.
