Certified Angus Feedlots

I'm curious as to why there would be as many as 15 to 25 CAB feedlots in Kansas and Nebraska and only 1 in Oklahoma??

It costs to be a CAB licensed feedlot. There's a licensing fee and some cattle have to be managed a certain way to meet the CAB criteria. I'd just assume that some feedlots don't think it's worth their time to be CAB certified?

Check the total number of feedlots in each state. You'll find Kansas and Nebraska have many more feedlots of any type than Oklahoma
