I have about 15 acres of pasture land and come spring I would like to place some cattle/calfs and turn around in the fall or winter sell them. whats the easiest to take care of and what would be a good number to buy. thanks
Noone can tell you how many head to run on 15 acres, because it depends on where you are located and what condition the grass is. Some areas, 15 acres would take care of 1 head, some, 15 head. You should consider purchasing some weaned calves. Be sure to deworm them and give them the normal preventative vaccinations needed for your area. Check with your local vet and extension office.
