I have a list of 75 cow sale barns in Texas. Does this sound about right to yall?. If each sells 800 a week 50 weeks a year ,thats a bunch of cattle.3,000,000 if I did the math right. Most sell more than 800 a week.
Thought Id share this . The runs have been huge last three years here in Texas. When It finaly rains ,I wonder how many cows will be left. There are probably more ,these are just the ones I can name.

I would have guessed even more sales than 75. The 800 number may be a little high. Some havae rather small sales but others sell thousands every week. Still a heck of a lot of cattle being sold.

Judging by the number of bald spots on their back where tags have been jerked off it seems some cows go thru the ring several times a week.
