Hello everyone in this amazing forum,
I hope you are doing well these crazy times...

I am doing a research for my about cattle and minefields and thoughts that some of you might have an idea about it, cause it is really difficult to find something on the internet.
So back in the days, they were moving cattle to minefields for demining them.

Is it possible someone here got some information about it?

Thank you so much!
Be well
Jon

Crazy times? All of it is planned and deliberate so do not let it get to you.

Where are you from?

Along the top of the Golan Heights are mine fields that date from the mid 1940's to today. Everything from anti personnel to anti tank mines. Most anti personnel mines seem to have been cleared. The anti tank mines essentially sit on the surface and in plain view.

They graze a lot of sheep there with little trouble.

It takes some serious weight to set off an anti tank mine. A person - if they wanted to temp fate - could step on one and it might not go off. If I remember it takes about 400 pounds to set one off. We got some free steaks one day when a cow stepped on one outside the compound fence.

That is about all I can tell you at this time.

Best to all.
