catching calf

The calf came down with scours and the vet gave some pills for her. Well the first two times were ok I guess, now when old momma sees me coming her and baby take off. I can only like get 10 ft. close to them. Before I could walk right up to them. Have 2 more pills for it. Scours seem to be ok but what about next time. They were like pets. Now what?

Start gentling them down again. That's about all you can do.

In the mean time, buy a rope and learn how to use it or occasionally bait momma and baby into what ever you have for a catch pen. It never hurts to keep them friendly.

If the calf's feeling that good he doesn't need any more scour meds.
