Case IH 4230 Trouble

I have a Case IH 4230 with 1100 hrs. Problem is the Hi/Lo selector switch. Something happened and now the tractor switches itself between Hi/Lo on its own. I hard wired the switch at the console, and it still does it. I know there's another switch at the clutch, and one at the solenoid under the tractor, but does anyone know how to isolate the problem further to track it down?

Also, the tractor seems to push the hydraulic fluid hard, meaning the hoses heat up quick, and I'm starting to see leaks on my hoses where they plug into the implements...
