Cape San Blas, FL

Can anybody give me the good, bad, and ugly on vacationing in Cape San Blas? My wife was told about this spot but I don't personally know anybody that's been. I'd trust this bunch more than online reviews as well. It would be my wife and I along with my 10 year old son and 8 year old daughter. I'd be interested in possibly fishing in the bay but not really interested in deep sea. Thanks

Very laid back area, water is beautiful between the penisula and the bay. Great area of Florida, only good parts of the state left are around that area, the rest of the state sucks.

Its a nice area , Apalachicola is just and old fishing village but has become more touristy the last several years. Its where we as locals go when we want to go to the beach. But they wont let me put up a sign telling folks to stay away.
