They are widely accepted around here. Used for hay storage and loafing sheds for dairy.
In Indiana, a hoop structure is personal property, untaxed. A barn is an improvement to real estate and is taxed heavily. That helped their acceptance among farmers.
A Dec 23 ice and wet snow storm a few years ago collapsed several of them, but that storm also collapsed some good solid post frame barns.
