Can you increase hp on a tractor?

Skyhightree posted a picture a couple years ago I wish I had saved. Some guy made a bracket and hung his barbell on the front of their tractor with weights on each side. Kinda funny but looked neat.

On increasing the HP the best way, I have found is to have the injector pump recalibrated up about 10%. Best to have a diesel shop to do if they will still do it. Also, you need to make sure you have a big radiator to withstand the extra heat. In the past years had this done a couple times and it makes about a gear difference in the tractor and had no heating problem.

On the Kubota tractors 6800/8200/9000 they have the same size cubic inch engine but usually the wrist pin bearing and maybe other internals will be bigger on the bigger size. I ran into this on a JD trying to put a turbo on. Got scared when I found out the wrist pin bearing was smaller.

That possible to "safely" do on a 5610?

I've got a curl bar and about 300 lbs worth of weights from when I was in college. I knew I was holding onto them for a reason. I may just do that.

There is also the issue that many of the Kubota HP ratings are not continuous (I am only certain of this for the M120, and I'm not certain that it affects the M8200/9000), which to my limited understanding is limited by heat. If I ever find myself hurting for power, I would love a Case IH MX135 without a cab....the Cummins 5.9l without the CAPS pump was just a monster.
