I no till drilled Fescue (farm owner wanted it) 2 weeks ago in to existing pasture. It's coming up but I was wondering if I could go ahead and clip the pastures as those stupid buttercups (what we call them) have bloomed. I obviously won't be clipping the new Fescue because its too short but will it hurt to run over it with the tractor wheels?

It may shade out the fescue, if you don't.

Fescue is pretty tough, but this young it may damage it, but ONLY where the wheels run. The plants in either side of the damaged areas (if there is much damage) would fill in as they grow. If you can get the buttercup before if seeds out would be a good thing.
