I thought this was outrageous so I looked into it. According to the Orange Country Register, illegals will NOT be eligible to vote. See http://www.ocregister.com/articles/vote ... ornia.html
The law will allow those with driver licenses to vote unless they opt out, but an important exception is that those with so-called AB60 drivers licenses (illegals) will NOT be registered to vote: "In California, undocumented immigrants can obtain driver's licenses through a new law known as AB60... the Motor Voter Act prohibits the DMV from registering AB60 driver's license applicants."

It won't happen. There was talk of it for a while but most of the illegals are fairly conservative so they didn't want to run the risk of turning the state red.

But just for snix, I just read the text of the law, and also the state constitution, to which the law refers. It is quite clear that illegals cannot vote; only citizens can.

California constitution here (relevant section): http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/.const/.article_2 ("A United States citizen 18 years of age and resident in this State may vote."). Don't know how it could be made clearer.
Personally, I'm more worried about the Russians trying to clip our underwater cables and ISIS trying to take out the electric grid, both of which were reported today.
