calf with stiff neck

I have a calf born 8 days premature that can't suckle on his own because of what seems to be a stiff neck. The neck can flez with help, but seeems to be in spasm.

Otherwise the calf is healthy, got a good apetite, tries to suckle, but can't physically get his head low enough to attach himself to a teat.

Any suggestions?

hi,
either bottle feed for a bit or get the calf up and help to suck which i imagine you are already doing. I would also add in predef(steriod) or anafin (non steriodal) anti infamatory to maybe help the neck out a bit. Give that a try, or call the vet for any extra help
