Calf with spotty hair loss

We have a 2-3 week old calf that was out to pasture with Mom. Five days ago we saw calf in barn yard panting. We bought her in and she was covered with woodticks, at least 20-25 and also had hair loss in different areas. Her skin is also scally.

We started antibodics and she is getting a bottle twice a day and is on grain and good hay.

What would cause this hair loss? I have never seen any woodticks on any of our cattle. This is a first.

Wisconsin. 30 minutes from Hudson. There pasture in a semi-wooded area.
