Calf Walking on Knuckles

I have a calf that was born on Thursday. On it's back legs, it can't walk on its hooves. It walks on its knuckles. I've heard this is caused by a deficiency of some sort. Anybody have any ideas of what I can do? Other than this, it's a very healthy calf.

It's often caused by lack of space in the uterus, and as long as you can straighten the legs and it is improving, just give it time. If the calf is right up on the skin of the dorsal fetlock, you'll have to splint the legs to prevent damage. If you can't straighten them, it could be arthrogryposis (sp?) which is a genetic trait. Ask your veterinarian!
