I am new to the bussiness could anyone tell me how long it takes for calves to get all there teeth. I have a 7 month old calf with no upper front teeth.

welcome aboard... like msscamp said, you will and have gotten a little ragging over your question, but it is all in fun. for all of us there is a first time to look into the mouth of a cow and wonder about her teeth...

i remember my first time years ago... i wondered the same thing... where are the top teeth?? :roll:

let me add that the teeth a calf has are temporary or baby teeth. they will be replaced as the calf grows older...

at about 2 she will get 2 permanent teeth,
at about 3 she will get 2 more permanant teeth
again at 4
and at about 5.

this will give her 8 permanant teeth. that is all she will get. from there the aging is based on how much wear she has on her teeth, and is really a guess as to her age. they will finally all wear out if she lives long enough.
