I'm certainly not knowledgeable on the condition. But I know exactly what I would do.
I would observe and as long as the calf looked comfortable and functioning ok I would let it be and hope for a check.

As soon as I saw a down turn I would immediately administer a highgrit.

I would also count to 4 when putting on bands
Im glad i have never had one like that. I can only count to two.

The first photo is testicles in close proximity to kidney. The second is the colon connected to a ureter. The Phillips was to distinguish where each exit was located (same spot). His urine was backing up into his colon. So essentially, where it was connected to his ureter, is where some of his urine would go, and his stool would exit to his bladder AND urine would backup into his colon. The exit to outside of his body was no bigger than a pencil lead. The vet thinks this was just a random anomaly. She has only seen 2 in her career and this little guy was the more extensive of the two, although she said she hadn't dissected the other, only euthanized him.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's always tough losing a calf.

Something occurred to me while reading about the vets findings ...

That is the kind of calf an enterprising PhD student might want some DNA samples from.
