I have a one week old calf, born no problem, layed one day in heat of sun on hot day. Not sucking, listless. We've been feeding since day one, twice a day with mother's milk. Will suck the bottle, but only a little and very dozy. We tube the rest into him for a total of 3 pints morning and same in evening.Large calf, seems to be small head, but mother had on her own. Laying down most of time, but does stand up ocasionally. Gave selenium/vit A -day after birth and disinfected navel too. It's just not getting any more energy or learning to suck even the bottle. help

Have you tried electrolytes? Blue Lite-C is great stuff. Gets them hydrated.. sorta like gator aide for cattle. Also, have you given him any medication? Pnuemonia is always a concern.. maybe a talk with the vet is in order.
