We have a calf that is 6-9 months old, not sure of the exact birth date. He has begun to distance himself from the rest of the cattle and appears not to eat. He does however pass solids even though it looks more like deer/goat droppings that what ought to be coming from a cow. He is about 3/4 the size of another of our calves that was born about the same time. He doesn't appear to be hurt, ie no limping or odd gait. I am concerned, any suggestions?
My second question is does anyone have the title and author of a good book on cattle ailments, nutrition, etc?

Consider possible constipation...not drinking enough water. Possibility of worms. Has he been regularly de-wormed. Are other cattle bullying him so he doesn't get his share of the food? ?????
