I have a heifer calf that weights about 250 lbs. she is a Brahaman/Charlois cross. She has been coughing quit a bit lately, she has been wormed. I haven't been able to see her eat, but I really can't tell that she is losing weight. If anyone has any idea what could fix this problem, I would more than greatly appreciate it.

Take care, Benjamin

Is she eating moldy or dusty hay? Mold can cause a lung infection/cough.

Someone needs to take her temperature and listen to her lungs with a stethoscope.

Take her to a vet. There is a lot of dust pneumonia in Texas. They can give her Micotil(sp.) and clear it up. I've had to do it several times this year. But - I am not a vet, this is just from my experiance. Also don't wait to long!
