Calf bloody stool

Does anyone know what bloody runny stool means in a newborn (3days old) calf, or what can I give it for that to go away.

Take a sample &/or the calf to your vet. Two possibilities are coccidiosis or the calf may not be getting enough nutrition. Is this calf on it's mama & otherwise nursing? If so, have you checked the cows teats to make sure she's producing quality & enough milk? In the meantime, electrolytes & sulfa boluses.

I had a bull calf with that problem last year. I treated it as scours and it cleared up in a day or two.
