BW, WW, YW

Posters on here frequently refer to cattle as having "BW, WW, YW" and so on. I know this has to do with breeding and genetics, but if possible could someone succinctly explain what this means?

Those are EPD's go to any breed assn website and look for the explanation of EPD's asking for an explanation here will just get you chewed out for not doing your homework.
 
BW = Birth Weight
WW = Weaning Weight
YW = Yearling Weight
Doesn;t just apply to EPDs although there are EPDs for each of those traits.

Not being a smartaZZ but in what other context do we usually see those used?

His BW was 78 pounds, or his WW was 579 pounds, or ...........................
