buying cattle for food

Hey I'm new to the cattle world..I was wondering if someone could help me out..I'm looking to purchase a whole cow around 900 lbs live weight..I would like the cow sent directly to a slughterhouse and processed then deliverd to me in a refrigerated truck..I understand most cattle for this purpose is sold between 1.00 and 1.50 a lb and the processing and delivery is extra..Is there anyone in Ga that does this? I'm located in Harris County Ga right beside Columbus Ga.
Any info would be appreciated.

Turn.....is that a dollar a pound walking weight? Seems awfully low for hanging weight. I'm feeding one out now for a customer at $1.65/lb hanging weight. Expect it to hang out around 600lbs. The processor is charging $.42/lb to cut and wrap....sorry no delivery. That seems to be the going rate here in SE Alabama. Thanks and all the best....bill

Howdy neighbor....last one we slaughtered was 950. I'm going to feed this steer out to about 900-950lbs. cheers...Bill
