I just received an opportunity to buy 4 to 5 bottle calves kind of new to this just wondering what I should be paying. 3 females 1 male so far about 2 weeks old beef cattle

I just received an opportunity to buy 4 to 5 bottle calves kind of new to this just wondering what I should be paying. 3 females 1 male so far about 2 weeks old beef cattle

Lots of questions to think about to before you determine a price. Are the calves all from the same farm or did the owner go to the sale barn and put the group together? How did some one end up with some many bottle calves? Are they pulled off cows that had twins? Have they had colostrum? What vaccines have they received? Big,strong,healthy calves ; base price around here this time of year is $200. By mid April some bull calves will bring $450+.
