A while back I read about a farm that sold young bulls to be butchered. The idea was to get them around 1200 or 1300 lbs(12 to 14 Months) I have always casterated my butcher beef, but now having second thoughts. Any ideas on this subject?

We have put everything in the freezer at one time or the other bulls cow's steers. We usually have three or four herd bull prospects up in the feed lot. At one year if one isn't up to standard for some reason he is freezer bound. If our freezer is full we give to the kids.

Most any kind of bull is good for hamburger-that's what we've done mostly with them. Maybe keep a few of the choice cuts but everything else goes to burger.
