Triclopyr is volatile. I think the label on Garlon 4 says volatile above 80 degrees F. Some plants are more sensitive to it than others. Grape vines are highly sensitive to volatilized triclopyr and so are young longleaf pine trees if you spray it within 10-15 ft of their crown, especially when they're candleing.
