Is anyone else noticing this? They are all over the place. Cackling roosters in the field every morning, and hens/roosters all over in the ditches, fields and roadsides (plenty squashed on the road too). Has been a long time since I have seen this many. I am wondering what has encouraged their population growth, and if it is other places as well. Sure wish the grouse woould make a comeback.

Yeah i haven't ever seen this many roosters out and about in the spring. Maybe its becausethey had a hard winter adn are looking for food. I don't knwo i jsut shoot them in the fall. Tasty.

That explains the one I saw standing on the side of I 75 in Tn a couple of weeks ago. He was prolly just resting.

That's a smart bird. Taking the scenic route through Kentucky horse country.
