Sold our bull today and even though he brought more than I've ever sold before in a pound bull 1940 at $1.77, a little disappointed in that he seemed to be crippled when he came in the ring and was absolutely fine when we offloaded him, last night.
They said in the office that they may have penned him in with cows overnight.
They have plenty of pens and not too big of runs. Can't imagine why they penned him with other cows.
Should have gone to Paris.

I pounded out a yearling bull last year. Sale barn check stub noted he was lame. He was sound when I unloaded him. About a week later I got a $235 check in the mail that said "insurance" and his tag number. That brought him up to about what he should have sold for. The sale barn always has a small charge for insurance on each check stub so I guess this kind of thing is what it is for.

Probably rode / bred cows all night . Don't understand when they pen big bulls together or with a group of cows like that .

That's pretty close to what we paid for the nes Brangus bull . Replacements aren't cheap !

Yeah, I know it could be a lot worse.
This is just a small thing compared to some of the other crap we've been having to deal with but it just all adds up to make you tired of it.
My wife described it as a punch in the gut.
We actually raised the bull, did not buy him, but another bull we just recently bought was ruined in a fight with a neighbors bull, so now that means we sell both bulls at a loss because anyway you look at it replacements are higher even from a couple months ago when we bought the other one.

This has been a rough year for you concerning bulls, going back to that reg Simm. And you do everything right...this was just a run of bad luck. Hopefully, things will turn around with this last bull you bought. I really like him.
