Nice looking bull, Cert. I think that's what some would call "soggy" as a complimentary term.

Thanks greenwillow.

Got my but kicked and wiped in Louisville. But I like him. He was too green to play w/ the big boys  I had a good time though. He doesn't look that good now. Been working in the mud.

Because LA is too stubborn to learn the copy paste method of photo posting...
Here is his pride and joy:

Not to change the subject.... please keep posting... but what does soggy mean?

I don't know for sure, but I've seen ads with bulls with that "look" that this bull has that were described as "soggy." I'd guess that there are some on the boards that know. If I was guessing, I'd guess it has something to do with the way the beef is packed on his frame.

We usually keep a yearling bull as a cover bull and sell them at 18 months to 2 years. This is the yearling we used last year. He is kind of stretching in the picture but anyway here he is.

Wish I had a decent pic of our bulls to post, but this time of year they look awful... hairy and a fair amount of "klingons".

Kansas,
Up here the term "soggy" usually describes thick, "meaty" looking animals (and sometimes for folks that are little on the stocky side).

Take care.

[/img]Here's my Red Angus bull doing what bulls do. I don't know if I like him yet. His first calves will hit the ground very soon. Then I'll have a better idea if I like him or not.

These are the 2 senior herdsires at the ranch I work for, Sand Dollar Ranch:

I'm headed out to take a picture of my herd bull. I'll finish the roll of with pics of him and head to town to get them deveolped. Should have him posted by morn. But, keep in mind, he runs with a commercial herd. And he is nothing special. Just a composite of several breeds but he works well for what I am after...a terminal cross.
Muratic

These are terrible pics but they'll have to do till I can get some better ones. We just bought both. The first is a 2 yr old and the second, a yealing. We've had them both on feed and good hay for a month now and they look a little better than they did here.
