Which would you cut (if not all of them). I kind of promised some breeders at the Ozark Empire Show yesterday that I would show 4-5 animals next year. I am in the process of deciding what I really have. Look at these three and tell me which one you prefer. If you don't mind.

I know they are green and these are not the best pictures.

I like 1 and 2. Not sure about 3. How old are they? They will look better once they are on feed, and I think you could have a couple nice bulls.

Thank you shorthorn guy and Iluv8beef. The Santas are going to try and start a new show and they want me to participate to help ensure numbers. I figure I will show a few heifers and one bull. I like #2's sheath but #1 seems to be a thicker calf at this stage of the game. But #1 has buttons. I have 1 cow family that just won't shake the horns. They have been exposed to polled bull after polled bull. 3 generations now and still horns.

#3 is probably going to have too much daylight under him.

I am a bit limited this year. We bought a new bull last year and thought he might be too young so we used a R Angus bull to assist him. 1/2 our crop is R Angus now.

This probably should have been posted on the showboards but I put it on here already and don't want to double post.

More of you have to have an opinion. Speak up. Just 'cuz they're Santas doesn't mean you don't have an opinion.

I agree with Frankie. My cattle generally change the most in the first 50-60 days post weaning. I would evaluate at that point.

I do really like the first bull a lot.

I know they are green. This just happened over the weekend and I am just in that frame of mind. Starting to look at them in that way rather than steers. I kill 99% of my bull calves. Heck, I kill 80% of my heifers. Very restrictive in what I let go for fullblood breeding stock. Pureblood I am more lenient.
