Compared to Tuesday, slaughter cows sold mostly 5.00-7.00 lower, with sales as much as 10.00 lower at times. There were not enough slaughter bulls for a market test. The cattle supply included 279 slaughter cows, 2 slaughter bulls, 62 slaughter steers, 24 slaughter heifers, and 38 head of feeder cattle.

Calves: Compared to last market test, slaughter calves sold mostly steady. Holstein bull calves returning to the farm sold sharply lower on very large offerings.
Slaughter Calves: Standard and Utility 55-130 lbs 20.00-40.00, few weaker 11.00-20.00.
Calves Going Into Special-fed Veal Barns: Holstein Bulls 90-125 lbs 130.00- 147.00; 80-90 lbs 90.00-120.00. Plainer-type Holstein Bulls 90-125 lbs 80.00- 125.00; 80-90 lbs 65.00-90.00.
