Brisket tags?

Anyone use them?

A friend bought a couple of cows with brisket tags several years ago and loves them. Says they're much easier to read and never come out, plus don't have to worry about torn ears.

I have bought several cows that had one. They are fairly difficult to remove.

We bought a group of cowsd that had them. They don't come out and fairly easy to see. Like ear tags better because if you can see head you can see number like when sorting a group. I could see using it as more of a back up to put in thm in case ear tags fall out.

I think that's how the other guy used them (rather than putting a tag in both ears, he'd do one in the brisket and one in the ear)... He said that, other in really tall grass, he found them much easier to read than dirty tags covered in ear hair.

See a few more out west in the short grass country.
I assume you need a hyd squeeze to put them on?
