Breeds of Cattle

I wonder if someone could tell me the name of the breed of cattle that is the worlds largest breed

Depends on what you mean by largest. Height wise it would be the Chianina, Scale and weight would be Charolais or South Devon Numbers of cattle would probably be Angus

Thanks that helps some. i was at a local fair that had a display reading see the worlds largest steer. The steer was sort of a pale gray almost white color. I asked the man at the display what breed of cattle it was but he would not answer me

Maybe it was a white angus and he didn't want to admit it...oops...very bad joke... sorry

the lagest bovine both weight and height wise is the chianina (not the us chianina's, but the real thing).

the largest bovine by weight to height ratio is the belgian blue.
