Breeding Question?

I plan to put my new bull in at about 15 months of age and I have 19 cow/heifers for him to breed. Is this to many for this young of an animal? I try for a 3 month breeding season. Thank you for any info.

Depending on the breed, his scrotal circumference and fertility/maturity of his semen, this may be fine. However, some breeds wouldn't be able to handle that--I'd recommend a semen test and evaluation to ensure you don't lose a season.... V

One option might be putting him with 10 cows for the first 21 days, then put the rest in later. This gives him a chance to settle a few cows before they are all in together. It will also give him some time off between heats and may keep him from pulling down.
