you might try a red bull and get yellow calves they bring pretty good also

Some black, some dark grey and light grey and pretty much any shade in between and including black and white.

Breeding a Char cow to a herford or red Limi will get a yellow colored calf. Around here people call them golden nuggets, they sell good.

Charolais carry a Diluter gene and you could have anything ranging from Black to purple

Is the bull homzygous black? If not, you could even get yellow calves from that cross.
