I was wondering what the ideal time frame to breed back cows after calving. Cows just calved a couple of weeks ago and I have the availability of a neighbors bull right now but I wasn't sure if it was too soon.

You may get some bred back in the next month but If it was me,I would pick the time I want the calves to hit the ground and put a bull in accordingly.

Ideal Time Frame is usually considered to be 8-11 weeks (56-77 days) after calving.
A cow breeding back before 35 days is unusual, but is certainly possible.

Around here when it happens in people the kids are called Irish Twins.

here the bull runs with the cows year round.but idealy you want a cow to breed back no later than 90 days giving you a 12 month calving interval.in less than 45 days we have calved out 35 cows and heifers give or take.theres been a few days where weve had from 2 to 6 calves a day.we are still calving cows and heifers out now.
