Breeding back

I was wondering how long after the calves are born do you breed back? I'm looking into raising rodeo stock so the cows are a little flighty. I'm going to ship the cows off after calving, but do i ship the calves too or can I bottle feed them?

The cows will not cycle until about 4 to 6 weeks after calving. You should have the cows rebred by the time the calf is three months old in order to have another calve within a 12 month period.

I depends on who are you shipping the cows to. yes, you can bottle feed them but I would keep them on the mother for a month or so then put them on calf developer and feed. You will have a better chance of not losing some.

Good luck
