I have some Angus heifers that are now 14-15 months. I have read that it is OK to breed @ 15 months but these don't seem large enough. Is weigh a better measure of breeding capacity and if so what is a good weight for Angus?

Heifers should be 65% of their mature weight when you breed them. I have seen some old Angus genetics that the heifers are not ready to breed at 14-15 months. I have many heifers reach that target at 10 months, but I still wait untill they are at least 12 months to breed.
