If by "better meat" you mean higher quality grade, i.e. marbling, go with Angus, if you mean yield grade, i.e. quantity of meat try Simmenthal or Gelvgieh

Limousin have done us some real good. Simmental is less quality on all aspects. Belgian Blue works, but i would only use them on Limo crosses for finishing. charolais wouldn't be too bad but a little too rough (hair and meat) for my liking. blonde d'aquitaine tends to work out fine, we have a few calves of that cross now, about the same as the limo crosses.
